The scope of cooperation covers highway and national-road navigation assistance for heavy trucks, intercity highway NOA, unmanned logistics vehicles (Robovan), urban NOA for light commercial vehicles, promotion of high-level intelligent driving in overseas markets, and access trials for L3/L4 intelligent connected vehicles.
Under the agreement, the two sides will jointly develop intelligent driving solutions adapted to heavy trucks, light commercial vehicles and unmanned logistics vehicles. Leveraging Zhuoyu's model algorithms, multi-sensor fusion and domain-control hardware, combined with Foton's strengths in whole-vehicle control, chassis adaptation and vehicle integration, they will advance technology iteration and mass production in stages. Joint projects will begin with highway trunk-line scenarios and expand progressively to urban roads, national highways and other complex scenarios, while continuously optimizing the supply chain to build intelligent driving products for commercial vehicles that offer high cost-performance and can be rolled out at scale. At the same time, the partners will work together on compliance applications and demonstration operations for high-level autonomous driving, and — drawing on their respective resource advantages — jointly develop overseas markets including the Middle East, South America and Australia/New Zealand, exploring opportunities for the overseas application of Chinese intelligent commercial vehicle technology and products.
