Foton Motor Debuts at the Paris Motor Show, Taking Its "Systemic Globalization" in Europe a Step Further

On October 12, the 2026 Paris Motor Show officially opened at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre in Paris. Foton Motor brought the CAVAN C1 pure-electric panel van and the eAUMARK pure-electric light truck to Stand A10 in Hall 7.1, and used the show floor to announce its formal entry into the French market. Foton chose the Paris Motor Show as the stage for its French debut out of a deep reading of the European commercial-vehicle market: electrification in Europe is accelerating, and France is one of the countries where fleet-replacement demand is most concentrated.

France is a major market for the global automotive industry, with strict requirements on environmental performance, technical standards and operating efficiency. Foton's entry into France rests on many years of accumulated commercial-vehicle technology and a globalised operating system. To date, Foton Motor has entered nearly 20 European markets and built a service network of more than 300 outlets, supported by a European technical centre and a parts centre in Bochum, Germany, giving customers localised technical support and after-sales assurance.

Founded in 1898, the Paris Motor Show is one of the world's longest-running international motor shows. Held every two years, it has always carried significant weight in the European automotive industry. Over the past two years, commercial-vehicle electrification in Europe has clearly picked up speed: many French cities have designated low-emission zones and restrictions on diesel trucks entering urban areas are tightening, so fleet operators' willingness to switch to electric vehicles continues to strengthen. For Foton Motor, this is precisely the right moment to enter the French market.

The CAVAN C1 on display is developed by CAVAN, Foton's new-energy brand, specifically for urban distribution duty. It offers a cargo body of up to 8.4 cubic metres and a WLTC range of 320 km. Its lithium iron phosphate battery carries an eight-year or 500,000-km warranty, and fast charging takes the pack from 20% to 80% in 30 minutes. L2+ driver assistance is fitted as standard.

The eAUMARK pure-electric light truck shown alongside it targets urban and regional distribution. With a gross vehicle weight of 7.5 tonnes and a 100 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, it delivers a WLTP range of 180 km and reaches a full charge in one hour of fast charging. Built for high-frequency city distribution cycles, the model is equipped with an air-suspended seat, keeps cabin noise below 65 decibels, and carries the i-ADAS suite covering automatic emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring.

As the vehicle manufacturer that has ranked first in Chinese commercial-vehicle sales for 21 consecutive years, Foton Motor's products now reach more than 140 countries and regions worldwide, with cumulative deliveries of over 13 million units. In the first three quarters of 2026, Foton exported more than 168,000 completely built units, up 43.6% year on year, keeping its commercial-vehicle export volume at No. 1 in the Chinese industry for the 15th consecutive year. Foton's internationalisation goes well beyond sales growth: its Brazilian plant has started production, making Foton the first Chinese commercial-vehicle brand to manufacture locally in Brazil; its Thai plant rolled off its 2,000th heavy truck; and its South African plant has achieved CKD volume production of AMT heavy trucks and pickup trucks. Foton has established 32 localised plants around the world, with more than 1,200 overseas sales outlets and more than 1,500 service outlets. It is also promoting a multi-brand协同 development model overseas, extending its mature domestic industrial ecosystem abroad and building an integrated "product + service + ecosystem" operating system that strengthens used-vehicle circulation, localised energy replenishment, group parts procurement, telematics operation and maintenance, and financial services. Under its plan, Foton Motor will achieve localised assembly in Europe in 2028, further completing its industrial footprint in the European market.

Foton Motor's European market layout

Taking the Paris Motor Show as its starting point, Foton Motor will uphold the philosophy of "In Europe, For Europe" and work hand in hand with its partners to provide customers in France and across Europe with higher-quality green logistics solutions, supporting the low-carbon transition of European urban logistics.
